Couple of our seniors conducted a cool science experiment last weekend. They got an idea from MIT to send the weather balloon into the space to take pictures of the Earth.
The students got a 10-feet balloon, filled it with helium, attached camera (timed to take pictures every 30 secs) and a GPS system for tracking, and sent it up from West Sacramento on Friday.
The balloon landed 80 miles from the departure point in Santa Rosa. We are very proud of our students who go above and beyond to excel, to discover world around them, and to learn something new every day.
