School Computer Use Policy

Students will have access to a high speed connection to the Internet at school. When they use the computers at school, they have a responsibility to use them according to the GCC Technology Usage Agreement. This means that the computer should not be used to access or create material that doesn't belong at school. This includes, but is not limited to, images and messages that are sexually explicit, grotesquely violent or seek to demean or harass others. The privilege of computer use at school depends on the student’s ability to use the equipment correctly. Students may lose that privilege if they do not act responsibly. There is no charge for using the Internet services. However, only those students who have turned in the GCC usage agreement will be allowed to access the Internet. Students found to be damaging computer equipment will have strict consequences as well as being responsible for cost of repairing and or replacing these damaged items.
