Early College Program at Futures High School
At Futures High School, we believe students shouldn’t have to wait until after graduation to take charge of their future. Through our Early College Program, students gain access to an incredible opportunity: earning college credit while completing their high school education. Many of our students graduate not only with a high school diploma but also with a Certificate of Transfer or even an Associate’s Degree, giving them a major head start on their college and career journey.
How It Works
Thanks to our partnerships with local colleges, students participate in our advanced dual enrollment program, taking college-level courses during their regular school day. These courses are carefully designed to align with individual goals—whether that means transferring to a four-year university or getting an early start on a college degree.
Pathways to Success

Pathways to Success
Every student’s journey looks different. That’s why our Early College Program offers multiple pathways, each tailored to different goals:
-
Associate’s Degree Path – Complete credits toward, or graduate high school with, a full Associate’s Degree. Students in this path can also transfer to a CSU or UC as a junior, giving them the ability to finish a bachelor’s degree in just two more years and saving both time and money on their bachelor’s degree.
-
CALGETC/Certificate of Transfer Path – Finish lower-division college requirements and transfer seamlessly into a CSU or UC as a junior in college.
-
College Semester Path – Take 12 units of college coursework while still in high school, completing the equivalent of your first semester of college. Students in this path gain the advantage of starting college as returning students, which provides priority registration and a smoother transition into higher education.
